HCRP's Projects & Activities
Since 1993, HCRP organizes the Interfaith "Peace Prayer" gathering in October yearly.
We invite about 13 prayer participants from various faith and peace organizations. They demonstrate unique styles of prayers for peace through music, dance, artistic presentation, poem reading, etc. in each tradition. Yet our attendees always experience indescribable "oneness" as our sincere prayers are sent to the mutual, ultimate source of wisdom of the universe. Join us at our next occasion for peace!

HCRP has initiated the annual "Interfaith Community Clean-Up Program" since 2016.
The purpose of the program is to clean the entire Kaka'ako Waterfront Park to help spread awareness of keeping Mother Earth healthy.
Through this community clean-up project, we wish to show our gratitude for the blessings we enjoy from the 'aina (land) that can be called "home" for all people.
Interfaith "Community Clean-up" 2026:
Saturday, September 26 at 10 - 11 AM

So please bring your family & friends to participate in this project.
HCRP members deeply concern the issue of homeless in our community. At "Peace Prayer" in both 2011 and 2016, we focused on this serious problem in our everyday living by inviting speakers from homeless shelters. And in 2024 again, we invited Ms. Leona Larkin of the Institute for Human Services (IHS), who demonstrated how we could help others even in small ways.
Additionally, we have been collecting monthly monetary donations from our members to send to IHS annually.
Furthermore, we conduct "Donation Drive" at our peace gatherings where non-perishable food items, bedding, clothes, and toiletries, etc. are collected and donated to the community.
We pause in quiet reflection to offer this prayer for a peaceful world. In our individual and personal ways, we call upon the Holy One who sustains our lives and who inspires us to live with compassion and kindness and peace.
We ask for daily guidance in all of our personal relationships, in our work and play, and in our community involvement that we might model the possibilities of peace in everything we say and everything we do.
We pray for wisdom and compassion within the hearts and minds of all world leaders who have the power and responsibility of making decisions that impact the presence of peace.
We pray for courage, dedication, and integrity within the spirits of all those who work for peace around the world.
We pray for all those who harbor thoughts and feelings of hatred, violence, and greed that their hearts, minds, and souls will be transformed into Your likeness of compassion and kindness.
We are thankful for Your presence within our lives and ask for Your blessing as we try to live peaceful lives and seek ways for all people to live in harmony and peace.
About Us
HCRP held its very first meeting on May 27, 1992 at Chaminade University of Honolulu; we will hold the 30th "Peace Prayer" gathering in October 2025.
Every year we invite various religious organizations, interfaith dialogues, and spiritually committed individuals to this ceremony.
Through its network, the Conference attempts to promote inter-religious dialogues and cooperation.
