Most wildlife artists use acrylic as a medium as it is fast drying, hence I also started using Acrylic colors for my paintings.

Acrylic painting was done on Masonite boards, and I used to buy the board from hardware store, cut to size, put gesso, and sand however was unable to prepare required flat surfaces. Discouraged, I started using oil as a medium on readily available canvases instead and at one point after the year 2000, basically switched to oil painting and past 15 years, have been mainly painting in oil
