How to Install or Update the Garmin Express Application

Garmin.COM/Express is an application designed to manage Garmin devices. It is used for product registration, device updates, pre-loaded map updates, syncing fitness data with Garmin Connect with compatible products, and much more.

How to install Garmin.COM/Express

Garmin Express is an application designed to manage Garmin devices. It is used for product registration, device updates, syncing fitness data with Garmin Connect, and much more.

Current Version of Garmin Express for Windows: v7.11.1 as of February 15th, 2022.

To download the latest version of Garmin Express:

DOWNLOAD GARMIN EXPRESS FOR Windows 7 and higher

1. Go to the Garmin Express Webpage via garmin com express

2. Click Download for Windows

3. Run the downloaded GarminExpress.exe or GarminExpressInstaller.exe file

4. Check the box next to the terms and conditions statement

5. If needed, click Options to change the install location of Garmin Express

6. Click the Install button

7. Once the installation is complete, click the Launch Garmin Express button

Mac OS 10.10 or higher

Current Version of Garmin Express for Mac: v7.11.1 as of February 15th, 2022.

1. Go to http://garmin.com/express

2. Click Download for Mac

3. Open the GarminExpress.dmg or GarminExpressInstaller.dmg file

4. In the new window, double click on the Install Garmin Express icon

5. Follow instructions in the installer

6. Once the installation is complete, close the installer

7. Eject the Garmin Express mounted the image from Finder or the Desktop1

8. Open the Applications folder

9. Double click on the Garmin Express icon

1This step is optional. The mounted Garmin Express drive will unmount itself upon the computer restart.

How to update the Garmin Express Application

Garmin Express Application updates are released several times a year. Critical updates are performed automatically when it is launched. If necessary, it is also possible to check for application updates manually.

Windows:

Current Version of Garmin Express for Windows: v7.11.1 as of February 15th, 2022.

1. Open Garmin Express

2. Click Settings

3. Click About

4. Click Check for Updates for Express

5. Click Install Now if prompted

Mac:

Current Version of Garmin Express for Mac: v7.11.1 as of February 15th, 2022.

1. Open Garmin Express

2. Click Garmin Express in the Apple menu bar

3. Click About Garmin Express

4. Click Check for Updates for Express

Once the installation is complete, Garmin Express will be up-to-date.
