In 2023 Family Promise Fills Up Facility!

Family Promise opened a much larger facility in 2022., purchaed with a grant from the City of Odessa Community Block Grant Program.  In the same location as the previous center, the new home has almost twice the space and now has twice as many people!

Family Promise Increases Services

Family promise  served ten  families in 2023.  A total of 44 people, including 7 newborn babies (34 children altogether)  have benefitted from the overnight stays in the FPOcenter!  

More churches are coming on board and more services are coming for FPO guests!  We are happy to see so many blessing from God in our work.  We hope to expand further soon!

Sparklight awarded a $3,500 grant to FPO.   Executive Director Kara Evenson Dorethy and Board Member Polly Moore accept a "BIG CHECK" from the Sparklight Team! 


United Way Continues Support

Recently, the United Way of Odessa awarded a $15,000 grant to Family Promise of Odessa!  This grant continues many years of financial support and encouragement from United Way of Odessa.  We appreciate the many years of support, commitment and dedication of the United Way Board of Directors and those who donate to UWO.  In the photo to the right, FPO Board President and Pastor John Wamsely presents an update to United Way Board members who conducted a site visit to the FPO Center.  We thank the board of United Way for taking time from their busy schedules to visit our Center.
