2023-2024 Monthly Counseling Schedule
All teachers deliver social-emotional learning lessons called SEL. These are supplemented by monthly school-wide lessons from the counseling department. The goal of our monthly lessons is to reinforce a positive school culture and system of supports. This looks like reviewing school-wide expectations and incentives, and talking about our values as a community.
At Fairview we talk a lot about Eagle PRIDE, as a way to help students understand how to be a thriving member of our school community. The "R" in PRIDE stands for "relationships" which is reinforced through counseling lessons about kindness, empathy, social skills, and the importance of diversity, equity, and identity.
