Mindful Break
In the run up to the end of a very challenging year don’t forget to look after yourself so that you are able to also help others. If you find you are not taking regular breaks then you could try Google's Mindful Break app.
Mindful break is a free Google extension with two functions. First to remind you to take a break at certain times and second it offers mindfulness tips and breathing exercises to calm the mind.
Install the extension, Set the intervals that you want to be reminded to take a break such as every hour or at a specific time each day. You can even set it so that it only notifies you during work hours. Decide on the type of notifications you would like. It's aimed at those people you spend a considerable part of the day at a screen as we are the ones who are often guilty of not actually moving from the screen during our breaks.
The breathing exercises are just 1 minute long and it allows you to make the box full screen to avoid all other screen distractions.

GEGAPAC event December 4 - 6, 2020
Educators around the world are all in a similar situation and are trying to find ways to face and overcome the challenges we face.
There is a wealth of resources available online and it is overwhelming for educators. #GEGAPAC saw this situation as early as March, that is why we had the 2nd #GEGAPAC event last April 17 to 19, 2020. On December 4 to 6, 2020, #GEGAPAC we will be having our 3rd simultaneous events.
#GEGAPAC understands the uniqueness and diversity of educators. Not all educators are comfortable with the English language, that is why we want the event to be inclusive! The sessions will be done in different languages! You can share using the LANGUAGE you are most comfortable with.
All educators are invited to share anything that will help educators, students, and parents in online distance learning.
Together we shall overcome these challenges.
#BetterTogether!
