Caregiver Burden, Quality of Life and Challenges of Caring Among Dementia Caregivers in Brunei

This research project is a collaboration between Universiti Brunei Darussalam and Ministry of Health to review the caregiver burden and quality of life for family members and caregivers of people with dementia.


This baseline information will be useful to share with relevant stakeholders and contribute towards service development for people with dementia.


The study involves:

1. Completing a survey regarding Dementia Symptoms and Caregiver Burden symptoms

2. If agreeable, an interview by researchers regarding the experience and challenges of caring for a person with dementia

Note: Participants have the choice of completing Part 1 (Survey) only or be involved in both Part 1 (Survey) and 2 (Interview)


Participants must be family caregivers age 18 years and older and be actively involved in the care and support of people with dementia.
