Why is Algebra important?

Algebra is the transition from basic math to the using of mathematical symbols that stand for formulas and quantities. There will be an element of Algebra in every Math class you will have beyond the 9th grade.

Becoming an algebra expert opens the doors to some of today’s most trendy (and well-paid) careers. From computer science to medicine, algebra serves as a foundational skill. Understanding algebra also puts you on track for college success, no matter what major you choose.
