Founded in 2024, BRAC University Esports Club stands as a vibrant community dedicated to promoting esports and gaming culture among BRAC University students. Our mission is to foster a competitive spirit while providing a platform for skill development and community engagement. With a vision to become a premier hub for esports activities in the academic realm, we aim to organize high-quality tournaments, workshops, and events that not only enhance the gaming experience but also bolster the career prospects of our members. Through these initiatives, we strive to cultivate a dynamic environment where passion for gaming meets opportunities for personal growth and professional development.
From overseeing member recruitment and selection, conducting comprehensive orientation sessions to managing intra-club communication and club database, HRM ensures the maintenance of organizational structure, alignment with club values and objectives and the creation of a supportive and motivated club community.
From meticulously planning and coordinating various events to handling logistics and ensuring adherence to schedules, Event Management ensures the seamless execution of diverse esports activities. Their role encompasses venue decoration, equipment setup and overall event management to deliver high-quality experiences for all the students
Enhancing visual identity and content creation, the Creative Department designs graphics, branding materials, and multimedia content for club promotions and events. They collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive branding and provide creative support, enriching the overall club experience and engagement.
Responsible for budget planning and financial management, Finance and Procurement secures resources essential for the club's operations. They oversee sponsorship acquisition, procure necessary equipment and maintain financial transparency through meticulous record-keeping and reporting, supporting the sustainability and growth of club activities.
Driving engagement and visibility, Communication and Marketing develops strategies to promote club events across various channels along with communication with the outside world. They manage the club's online presence, create compelling promotional materials, conduct sponsorship hunts and cultivate relationships with stakeholders. By maintaining consistent branding and effective communication, they enhance community involvement and support for club initiatives.
Supporting technical infrastructure and moderation, the IT Department the club's ensures optimal performance during events, manage live streams and moderate socials. They provide essential technical support, implement security measures, and contribute to a seamless gaming experience, safeguarding club operations and data integrity.
BRAC University Esports Community hosted Colosseum 1.0 from July 25 to August 27. This student-driven event featured 52 teams and was sponsored without a registration fee, highlighting teamwork and dedication. The tournament saw 500 registrations, 10,000+ views, and ended with an intense grand final watch party. The event's success demonstrated the university's strong esports culture and community spirit.
Held from January 29 to February 9, Armageddon 1.0 was entirely community-funded, drawing 60 registrations and forming 8 teams. The event featured group and single elimination stages, all streamed online, fostering accessibility and engagement. This virtual tournament underscored the commitment and enthusiasm of BRAC University's esports community, setting the stage for future growth.
