Loteria Card: El Injerto (The Graft)

Purpose: TLoteria is a Mexican card game similar to Bingo that was used for both entertainment and education. I chose to use this format to help illustrate scripture references to visually communicate the concept of grafting from Romans 11:17. The visual representation of a Cactus being grafted to a Cedar tree seems impossible, but reinforces the power of Christ and His ability to bring anyone into the family of God. The choice of the Cactus and Cedar also describe my own journey from the deserts of Southern California to the forests of Idaho and how I have been grafted into the culture and lifestyle that is here, too. The scripture reference is on the card to reinforce the visuals with the concept. The sarape blanket references my
