Initially designed over 100,000 years ago by Afrikan warriors to use in combination with their spears and shields to instantly defeat surprise attacks by the apex predators teeming in the beautiful grasslands, forests, jungles, deserts, mountains and land mass of Afrika, The Mkuki [ "Javelin" in the Afrikan language of Swahili ] and Fremu [ "Frame"  in the Afrikan language of Swahili ] are the most vital tools for dealing with civilian Self Defense Scenarios. Together or individually the Mkuki or Fremu techniques by themselves defeat most surprise criminal attacks right away. And on the rare occassins these techniques fail to defeat the ambush/surprise attack? They instantly become bridges allowing you to use the other techniques in your arsenal to overcome your attacker[s]...no matter what style you study or don't study...AND they allow you to Evade and/or Escape. No other commercially available hard wired System offers a combination anywhere near as potent as mine.

Let's first start with properly defining what Self Defense Scenarios are, and show how they overlap with and are distinct from Fighting and Sport Combatives.

Self Defense Scenarios deal with unsolicited, usually unprovoked Criminal Attacks and/or Criminal Scenarios. These are massive categories of surprise attacks in the commission of vicious, criminal assaults and violence/threatened violence combined with intimidation, such as:.Armed Robbery. Rape. Kidnapping.  Murder. Torture. Assault and Battery. Etc.

Self Defense Techniques/Sequences tend to be very violent because they are designed to work [ despite the fact that we were caught by surprise and hurt by the criminal[s] initial attack ] during the Self Defense scenarios...and more...listed above. 

A FIGHT happens when two or more people agree to mutual combat. In Self Defense Scenarios, FIGHTS happen when the criminal[s] launch their surprise attack, are successful but we are not rendered unconscious or helpless, we respond with our Self Defense Techniques/Sequences...but because we are not perfect, we may fail to completely halt and defeat our attacker with our Self Defense Sequence. We may have HURT our attacker with our Self Defense Sequence, but we failed to take the criminal out with our SDS [ Self Defense Sequence ] just as the criminal failed to completely victimize us with his/her/their surprise attack. Now we and/or the criminal can choose to Escape, or Fight. WE HAVE TO BOTH CHOOSE TO FIGHT IN ORDER TO HAVE A FIGHTING SCENARIO. FIGHTING IS MUTUAL COMBAT. THAT'S HOW A SELF DEFENSE SCENARIO CAN BECOME A FIGHTING SCENARIO. If we AND the criminal[s] choose to engage in Mutual Combat. Fighting IS ALWAYS A CHOICE.

If we choose to Escape or Evade and our opponent chooses to Fight [ or vice versa ], this IS NOT FIGHTING. This scenario is now Pursuit, Evasion Prevention, or other Strategies which my System uniquely covers and applies. No other commercially available System on Earth is as comprehensive as my Njia Uhuru Kipura is.

Many instructors who claim to teach self defense, have curriculum that only work if attacks happen the way that these "teachers" want these attacks to happen. In other words? Your attacker launches a specific attack [ and only that attack, done only one way ], you counter with a specific technique.  That's why their techniques fail. The reality, anatomy and psychology of real criminal attacks and real fights don't happen like that.

SPORTS COMBAT

 Sports combat scenarios are the matches we see in sports like MMA, Boxing, Taekwondo, Fencing, Wrestling, Judo, Sambo, etc. These sports are very important in that they focus on winning according to the rules that govern these in very restricted competition bouts. They're both very helpful  when facing a situation similar to the types of competition reflected in and governed by their rules, and very limited by the same their lack of application to situations which aren't similar to their rules of competition and training. There are no forms of sports training that helps to preemptively address or trains against one of the most common "street assault" scenarios, the infamous Sucker Punch.

Hundreds of thousands of years ago, my ancestors innovated the Nusu Na Nguvu Fremu and Mkuki. The Half and Full Power Frame and Javelin/Spear Principle. These skills were used for hunting, armed and unarmed combat ,in order to thwart surprise attacks form deadly animals and roving bands of enemy hunters.  For modern Self Defense purposes, these Principles reliably stop surprise attacks, halt grapplers and armed opponents in their tracks. Even during surprise attacks. These Principles allow you to react literally during the moment of a surprise attack you were not prepared for, and stop the attack right there using a combination of the latest and most ancient high performance combat training and sciences. 

And. Just as importantly. These same Principles allow you to successfully bridge that moment when your enemy/attacker has hit you with a surprise attack and is following up on their advantage...and you successfully counterattack, stopping them,finishing them, and/or escaping from them. Whatever your common sense and the situation legally requires of you.

Most teachers don't address these scenarios and real life situations because these teachers do not have the skills to deal with real world attacks...so they just ignore real world attacks. And teach you things that will get you and/or your loved ones/innocents victimized, hurt or killed. 

My ancestors came up with the solution long ago. I refined and upgraded their solution and innovated techniques for the modern world, then packaged this solution as the, KWANTO KARIYA SYSTEM. The techniques in this System can be deployed instantly, and are based upon the Startle Reflex System in the human body.
