Parent communication

Communication with school faculty is key for our Bridges parents. Parent communication occurs during office hours via email, parent conferences and the monthly newsletter. Teachers are available for communication during office hours by appointment. Parents can expect consistent communication regarding their child's progress.

For early dismissals, doctor appointments, etc., during school hours, please contact the school secretary. Please contact Joseph Stephens, Bridges Residential Life Coordinator, for all events, appointments, etc. after 3 pm.

School Counselor

My name is Holly Arndt. I am a School Counselor at Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. I am certified as an Anxiety and Stress Management Specialist, Mental Health Specialist, Trauma and Crisis Management Specialist, Bullying Prevention Specialist, and Mandt trainer.

The mission of our school counseling program is to support all students through comprehensive and developmental approach by addressing academic, career and personal/social skills necessary to foster successful, lifelong learning as directed by Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind and the American School Counseling Association.

I love to walk, rainy days and spending time with my family. Don’t let my quiet demeanor fool you. I am in learning mode and absorbing all that is being shared. I am processing. It is later that I will form an opinion. I am loud when it matters and when I am committed to an outcome.

I can be graphic. Text says I can be...kind...safe..a learner
