The women behind the gaalis

Neha and Tamanna - ex-colleagues, now friends, lovers of words, biryani, bakar, and chai - are hoping to paint the country red with gaali, magar pyaar se!

After over a decade of full time communications consulting roles across India and Southeast Asia, Tamanna has been an independent writer and consultant for technology, travel, and development sector startups for four years now. This independent life is Tamanna's tool to fuel her vast appetite for travel, stories, and other passion projects, and to fix the things she can't stop ranting about. But Tamanna's first love is the love of words. She is the main life force behind this project, constantly on the look out for unique, creative and clean words of discontent, garnering collaborations from folks from around the country, creating content, and driving the project in the right direction.

Neha recently quit her 15 year long career in market research and data analysis to undertake a journey of self-discovery. She’s established herself as an Airbnb Superhost to sustain her minimalist lifestyle which gives her the freedom to backpack in the Himalayas on whim and work on projects close to her heart. When she’s not busy collecting Gaalis, doing creatives, and handling social media for The Gaali Project - Neha is pursuing spiritual studies, fuelling her perpetual appetite for Urdu poetry, Indian history and Persian literature, and helping city folk become self-sufficient by setting up kitchen gardens for them.

Reach us at thegaaliproject@thestorytellers.io for collaboration, questions, feedback, words of encouragement, or words of frustration - whatever rocks your boat!
