Leo E. Ethier Memorial Scholarship
Leo Ethier served as Stamford School principal and classroom teacher from 1972 until his passing in 2006. “Mr. E” taught his students, through his own example, that real success and happiness means using your skills and talents to help others especially when it is not expected. He encouraged his students to set goals and strive to attain them, even when it seems impossible. We are extremely proud of the twenty-four recipients of the Leo Ethier Memorial Scholarship over the past 16 years. We are truly honored to have been able to assist them with financial support in his memory toward furthering their college education.

Leo Ethier Memorial Fund
Beginning on July 1, 2023 the Leo Ethier Memorial Scholarship Fund will be renamed the Leo Ethier Memorial Fund. Our new goal is to support organizations within the Town of Stamford, especially the Stamford School and the Stamford Volunteer Fire Company of which Leo was a member for 32 years, serving as its chief for 4 of those years. He gave greatly of himself to the Town of Stamford for many years.
