Meet the Teacher

To my SPN Family,

Thank you for allowing me to tell you a bit about myself. My husband, two sons and I have been proud parishioners of SPN for 30 years.  I am a big advocate of Catholic education and feel fortunate to work at a school like SPN.

I graduated with a degree in psychology and business. After working in the private sector for years, I returned to my alma mater, Rosemont College, to complete my teaching certification for all subjects Grades 4-6 and Grades 7-8 mathematics.  I have been at SPN for fourteen years. This is my third year at the Honors Math Teacher. Before this, I spent seven years as a Grade Eight Teacher and four years as a Math Resource Teacher.

In my free time I enjoy walking with my girlfriends, reading, playing tennis, playing golf, trying new recipes, entertaining, and spending time with my family. I spend my summers in Newport, RI, a very special place to me and my entire family. The beach just may be my favorite spot! I am an loyal Red Sox fan, whether they are winning or losing;)

My aim as an educator is two-fold. I strive to be the best I can be so I can see the best in my students. In addition, I work hard to incorporate our faith into every day. I seek to meet these goals by living out our mission at SPN which focuses on presenting a challenging and intellectual curriculum developing the whole child.  By emphasizing respect, service, fairness, and accountability, my students are able to grow as individuals, becoming the best they can be while recognizing the importance, value, and gift of our faith.

I have always felt at home at SPN.  Thank you for your consistent expressions of kindness, gratitude, and cooperation.

Gratefully,

Mrs. Amoroso
