My Homeschool Companion started with the first talk show (Homeschool Companion) dedicated to home-based education
and was launched January 8, 2008, through the generosity of Life Talk
radio. This became Life Talk’s first show to air on a digital radio
station. Homeschool Companion broadcasts on 80 stations, across
five time zones and in 50 states and audio streams live throughout the
world, with a 300% increase in the listening audience since the
beginning of 2009. It airs every Wednesday from 11:05 until 11:30 noon EST. This show covers a wide range of topics, from learning disabilities to health. Guests give expert advice and listeners are encouraged to call in with additional insights. If you would like to be guest on the show send us an e-mail with the topic you'd like to discuss for our review. As a guest you would be expected to call in from a landline and have a few give-a-ways for our callers. This is a great way to promote your organization or company and provide our listeners with valuable information.
Education Currents was launched January, 2010. It airs every Monday from 5:05 until 5:30 pm EST. The purpose of
this show is to provide current educational information to teachers,
families, and students attending or involved in the traditional school
environment. How do our children maintain a Christian worldview while
attending public school? What can parents do to help their children when
faced with opposing values? What right does a child have to talk about
their belief system? How does No Child Left Behind help my child? This talk show is one of the first shows dedicated solely to educational issues. |
