Place in History - Once considered to be a superstar on the cusp, Magnum TA was on a steady rise in the mid-80s, when tragedy struck. While people can speculate what might have come of Magnum, the fact is we'll never know and those speculations are a large part of his legacy for better or for worse. Terry Allen struggled through his early years, until he caught on in Mid-South. His legit wrestling background made him a fitting star for Bill Watts as he and Mr. Wrestling II caught on as a team before a student-teacher rivalry.  While Magnum was not a great worker at that point, he was charismatic and had a good look about him.  When he moved on to the Carolinas, he became a favorite of booker Dusty Rhodes.  Feuds with excellent heels put him on a nice plateau as he was a over strongly as babyface for about two years. While he seemed to be in line for a future NWA Champion, it was not to be. A horrible crash with his Porsche left Magnum TA unable to wrestle ever again. While the company kept him around and he was decent enough behind the mic, Magnum was just a never-was in the eyes of many.  Like so many before and after him, Magnum TA had big star potential for sure, but one night it was all taken away and now he's a footnote in pro-wrestling history.
