Place in History - One of the most interesting characters in modern wrestling, DDP went from being a scumbag manager to a big cheese in WCW in 10 years, all while in his late 30s and early 40s. He worked very hard on his ringwork and had a good mind for the business end as well. Page was able to make connections with people like Dusty Rhodes and Eric Bischoff that kept him around and eventually allowed him to take a top spot in WCW. Once there, Page was able to keep his spot very well with programs that worked well...usually. After WCW was bought out, he was one of the few wrestlers with a big contract, who passed up the cash for WWF fame. In the year he spent as part of the active roster, Page's style clashed with others and the run can be considered a failure. However Page remains an example of how positive thinking, hard work and the right friends can make you a huge superstar in the wrestling business.
