Below is a list of links to organizations in the community that may be of assistance to the families and caregivers of Blazing Stars athletes.  If you have an organization you would like us to consider adding to this page, please send us an email
Please note:  The following organizations and the services they provide are not guaranteed in any way by the Blazing Stars.  They are provided here because someone associated with the team has used them at some point and thought others may benefit from them as well.
ARC Twin Cities - An organization that works to secure for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families the opportunity to realize their goals of where and how they live, learn, work and play.
Ausome Family - An on-line directory of products, services and support dedicated to serving families who are determined to create a beautiful, successful life for their children with autism. 
Autism Society of Minnesota - A self-funded organization committed to education, advocacy and support designed to enhance the lives of those affected by autism from birth through retirement.
Autism Speaks - The world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Bridge to Benefits - Information and helpful links to programs and services for people with disabilities or their families.
Cornucopia of Disability Information - a community resource for consumers and professionals by providing disability information in a wide variety of areas. It consists of both an Internet Directory of Disability Information and a repository of electronic disability documents, dating back to the early 1990s.
Courage Center - A Minnesota-based non-profit rehabilitation and resource center that empowers people with disabilities to realize their full potential in every aspect of life.
Disability Minnesota - Provides a single entry point to over 100 Minnesota state agency programs, products, and services that are devoted to the range of disability issues.  They also provide access to laws, statutes, and regulations in pertinent disability-related areas.
Disability Resources - A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established to promote and improve awareness, availability and accessibility of information that can help people with disabilities live, learn, love, work and play independently.
Down Syndrome Association of MN - Provides information, resources and support to individuals with Down syndrome, their families and their communities.
East Metro Miracle League - A baseball league designed specifically for youth age 3-18 with cognitive and/or physical challenges.
East Suburban Resources - A private, nonprofit (501 [c] 3) agency in Stillwater supporting adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs in community-based employment.
LifePages - This site was developed to help you find information about recreation and leisure activities, services, advocacy, and other useful things about life in Minnesota. Life Pages offers information for Minnesotans of all ages and abilities who want to enrich their leisure lifestyle as well as their connections to the greater community.
LifeWorks - Provides customized services for people with disabilities that help them to live full and meaningful lives.
Medical Assistance for Employed Persons with Disabilities - A work incentive that promotes competitive employment and the economic self-sufficiency of people with disabilities by assuring continued access to Medical Assistance for necessary health care services.
Minnesota Association of Centers for Independent Living - a non-profit organization whose purpose is to advocate for the independent living needs of people with disabilities who are citizens of the State of Minnesota, to develop new resources, identify and provide access to existing resources which provide the services needed by persons with disabilities so that they may live independently in the situation and community of their choice.
National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities - a central source of information on disabilities in infants, toddlers, children 
and youth.
Opportunity Services -  Serves adults with a broad range of disabilities, providing personalized job placement, ongoing support, and more.
PACER Center -  An organization that works to expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families, based on the concept of parents helping parents.
