facts about me

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in Accounting at Erasmus School of Economics.
I am originally from China and I did my Bachelor in International Economics and Trade at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
I finished my Master's Degree in Finance and Ph.D. in Accounting at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
I am married to Mr. Mengfan Liu in 2014, who will become Dr. Mengfan Liu in a few years I believe. We had our first baby in March 2019, who definitely triples the fun in our life.

My research interests lie in the fields of earnings management, litigation and enforcement, executive compensation, and political connection.
I also have projects on cultural differences and how they affect corporate financial reporting decisions.
Now I am also working on some field data, exploring how incentive schemes could constantly motivate employees to not only make efforts but also improve efficiency.

Big fan of doing sports! Running, Swimming, Cycling (a new hobby after coming to the Netherlands), and rope climbing!
Love traveling around (now becomes more challenging with the little one)!
