facts about me

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in Accounting at Erasmus School of Economics.
I am originally from China and I did my Bachelor in International Economics and Trade at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
I finished my Master's Degree in Finance and Ph.D. in Accounting at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
I am married to Dr. Mengfan Liu in 2014, who is also an assistant professor in accounting at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. We had our first baby boy in March 2019 and our second baby boy in September 2023, who definitely tripled the fun in our lives.

My research interests lie in the fields of earnings management, litigation and enforcement, executive compensation, and political connection.
I also have projects on cultural differences and how they affect corporate financial reporting decisions.
Now I am also working on some field data, exploring how incentive schemes could constantly motivate employees to not only make efforts but also improve efficiency.

Big fan of doing sports! Running, Swimming, Cycling (a new hobby after coming to the Netherlands), and rope climbing!
Love traveling around (now becomes more challenging with the little ones)!
