ACCESSIBILITY POLICY

The Washburn School District is committed to ensuring accessibility of its website for students with disabilities, parents with disabilities, and members of the public with disabilities. All pages on the District’s website will conform to the W3C WAI’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA conformance, or updated equivalents of these guidelines.

The Superintendent is directed to establish procedures whereby students, parents, and members of the public may present a complaint regarding a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 and Title II related to the accessibility of any official District web presence that is developed by, maintained by, or offered through the District or third party vendors and open sources.

Complaint Procedures:

To file a complaint regarding the accessibility of the school district website:

·               Contact the superintendent at 701.462.3221, or via email.

·               Provide a written description of the alleged violation.

·               Provide a URL to the web page with the alleged violation.

The superintendent will investigate the complaint and provide a written response to the complainant within 10 working days. If it is determined that the web page is non-compliant, within 3 working days of the superintendent’s determination the compliance issue will be corrected, or the page will be taken down.
