Airbnb Coupon Code 2024: Airbnb Review And Promos That Work |Hosting On Airbnb

You have probably heard of Airbnb or maybe even tried it already in the past. I myself have been using their service for the past six years and I don't think I'll ever go back to staying in hotels and B&Bs. It really changed the way I travel and I can't recommend it enough.

If you are new to the world of Airbnb and want to find more information about the service, or you are just here to learn about the latest Airbnb deals, then keep reading, as I'm about to share my honest opinion and I will also tell you how to save money with Airbnb coupons.

What is Airbnb?

Airbnb is an online marketplace that matches guests up with hosts. Airbnb rentals are often cheaper than hotels, so it helps you save money on your trip and also gives you a chance to live like a local for a few days, weeks, or even months (many hosts are willing to rent their homes long-term).

Airbnb offers listings in more than 190 countries. There are hundreds of thousands of hosts who are ready to welcome guests in their apartments, houses, castles, yurts, trailers, cabins, yachts, tree houses and more, - you can even rent an entire private island on Airbnb!

How Airbnb Works

If you haven't used Airbnb before you'll need to sign up first. It's really easy and, of course, free. You can even get a $40 Airbnb coupon code towards your first stay of $75+ if you create an account using this link. After you sign up, add your photo and confirm your e-mail address.  After that, you are all set and can start looking for accommodation for your next vacation. Start your search by typing in your destination. Then put in your dates and select the number of guests and home type (you can choose between "entire place", "private room", and "shared space"). You can also apply other search filters, such as "price range", "kitchen", "wheelchair-accessible", etc. Now you can start exploring. Once you have picked a couple of places you like, read the reviews from other users. It's really important because otherwise, you might end up having a not-so-pleasant experience. You can also contact hosts and ask them any questions you have and even ask for a discount. Some hosts are willing to negotiate a price a little if you are staying for a longer period of time (a few weeks or months) or if you are traveling in low-season or booking last-minute. If you think you found your perfect rental, then you may go ahead and book it.

Airbnb Coupon That Works

If you have done your research already and know everything Airbnb and came here just for the Airbnb coupon code, then I won't keep you waiting any longer and will explain right now how you can get $40 off your first booking.

How To Get Airbnb Coupon?

Airbnb offers its first-time users a special $40 coupon code (the actual amount varies based on your location). If you want to get it, you'll need to create an Airbnb account using this link. If you have an account already (even if you haven't booked any accommodation yet), this won't work. But if you are new to Airbnb, here is what you need to do:

And now let me answer the most common questions regarding Airbnb coupon codes.

Airbnb coupon code update 2024

As of 2022, Airbnb no longer offers promo codes for first-time users.

Where To Enter Airbnb Promo Code?

Like I've mentioned above, all you have to do to get a discount is click the link and sign up. You don't need to enter any promo code. It will be applied to your account right away.

Does Airbnb Have Coupons?

I believe that giving a $40 discount to new users is already very generous. But are there any other Airbnb coupons? Yes, there are but they usually expire very quickly. So if you want to save even more money, I suggest you check Airbnb Facebook groups and coupon sites regularly.

Do Airbnb Coupons Work?

Of course, they do. First-time Airbnb coupon code works the way I explained before, and the coupons for existing users work until they expire.

Airbnb Coupon 2021

In 2021, you can still use Airbnb coupon code for new users and get $40 off.

Why Some Of The Airbnb Coupon Codes Do Not Work?

I have heard some people complaining about Airbnb coupon codes not working and here are the main reasons for that:

- You already have an Airbnb account that you created NOT by clicking the link above.

- Your reservation price was less than $75.

Airbnb First Time Booking Discount

If you want to get a first-time discount, you will need to sign up with this link. Yes, even if it's your first time using Airbnb but you created your account not by clicking the link, this promo won't work for you.

Airbnb Coupon Code Existing Users

Every once in a while, I find an Airbnb coupon for existing users. However, that doesn't happen very often. Before booking a trip, I usually check travel forums, Airbnb Facebook groups, and coupon sites to see if there are any new promo codes available. However, even without coupon codes, I always find great deals on Airbnb. Read more about Best Travel Apps

Airbnb Travel Credit Not Appearing

This issue is also usually caused by the things I mentioned before (not creating an Airbnb account with referral link and making a reservation of less than $75).

Airbnb Referral Code Not Working

If for some reason the code is not working for you, clear your browser's cache and cookies and try again after that. You may also want to try using a different browser.

More Airbnb Discount

Over the years, I have used Airbnb dozens of times. Like I said, coupon codes for existing users are pretty rare. But sometimes you can get a great discount just by asking a host. I have done it several times and it worked almost every time. So don't be afraid of asking, it's totally normal. You can do that by sending a host a message with specific dates and ask whether they can send you a special offer. Many Airbnb hosts also offer weekly and monthly discounts. So if you are planning to stay for 6 days, it might be actually cheaper for you to book a place for the whole week.

How To Save on Airbnb During Long-Term Rental

Check the listing description to see whether the place you are interested in booking has a discount for long-term stays. If not, contact the host directly through Airbnb messages and ask whether they can give you a special price. Also read  Booking.com Review Is It Worth IT | Promo Code & Discount

Budget Travel With Airbnb

Staying at Airbnb is usually cheaper than booking a hotel room. You always have a lot of options to choose from depending on your budget, from luxury villas to tents in someone's backyard.

Refer A Friend To Airbnb

Another way to save on Airbnb is by referring your friends. When you sign up with Airbnb, you can go to your dashboard and click on "Invite". There you will find an invite link that you can send out to your friends. Once someone signs up and books a trip of $75 or more, you will get a $20 travel credit.

Refer A Home Owner To Airbnb

You can also send your referral link to someone who is interested in renting their home on Airbnb and get $95 after they sign up and rent their place to someone. You can use these credits to make a reservation on Airbnb.

Airbnb Review

By now, you have probably guessed that I'm a huge fan of Airbnb. I have visited around 50 countries in the past 6 years and I used Airbnb in almost every one of them. I love having the whole apartment to myself, being able to cook meals in the kitchen, do my own laundry and live like a local. Moreover, I enjoy the fact that I can find unique places to stay on Airbnb rather than going to another soulless hotel. I personally think that Airbnb offers a much more personal and relaxed experience than hotels.

I also love that Airbnb is constantly adding new features to the platform. For example, just recently Airbnb added "Experiences" to their website, and now you can book different tours and activities (cooking classes, walking tours, etc.) there. I haven't tried it yet myself, but I have heard people raving about this new service. So even if you are not planning to book an accommodation through Airbnb, you might still want to check out the "Experiences" page as the prices they offer tend to be lower than the ones in travel agencies.

But what about safety? Can Airbnb be dangerous? Of course, you can find horror stories about Airbnb rentals on the Internet, but I believe that if you use common sense (read all the reviews and listing description) before booking you will have a great experience. I did have a relatively bad experience once, but it was only because I decided to book an apartment from a host that had no reviews. I got a full refund once I realized that the place didn't match my expectations and moved to a different, much nicer Airbnb rental. It was a good lesson for me to never book a place if there are no reviews yet. I also learned that Airbnb has a great support team who were able to resolve my issue very quickly.

So what are the things I don't like about Airbnb? For me, the biggest con of Airbnb is the fact that hosts can cancel reservations last-minute. This has never happened to me before, but it is a possibility. With hotels, the risk of this happening is much lower. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about. However, I understand that Airbnb might not be for everyone. You won't have hotel amenities, like daily cleaning service (although some hosts offer it), breakfast buffet or front desk. If those things are important to you, then it might be a better idea to stay at a traditional hotel. Some people may also argue that Airbnb is not that cheap but I disagree. I usually manage to get much better deals on Airbnb compared to hotels.

Overall, I think Airbnb offers a great service at competitive prices, and I will continue using it in the future (I'm actually writing this review while sitting in my beautiful condo in Mexico that I rented on Airbnb). I hope this review was helpful and you found the information you were looking for here. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask them.
