Personal Information

I am now a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University. Previously, I received my Ph.D. from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, advised by Prof. Chin-Hui Lee and Prof. Xiaoli Ma for Speech, Language, and Signal Processing research

My current research focuses on the Interplay between Generative Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing, including (1) Quantum Machine Learning Theory, which investigates the trainability, generalization, and expressive power in quantum machine learning as we explore paths to quantum advantages, and (2) Quantum Computing Systems, where we leverage large language models and reinforcement learning for quantum circuit architecture search.

My Research, which is underpinned by the Hong Kong Research Impact Fund (HK$ 6.9M), is aimed at prestigious Nature Portfolio Journals and top-tier Transactions on Signal Processing, further validating the significance and impact of my work.
