Wibtoft

Chapel of The Assumption of Our Lady, Green Lane, Wibtoft. LE17 5BB

Chapel Warden:

Wardens of Claybrooke Parva Lesley Hammond and Joanna Fyson

The chapel at Wibtoft is something of an anomaly.

Together with the church at Claybrooke Parva it forms the ecclesiastical parish of Claybrooke with Wibtoft in the Diocese of Leicester.

Wibtoft chapel is however located in the civil county of Warwickshire!

At the 2001 census the hamlet had a population of around 50 persons.

Wibtoft Chapel reoponed for a Platinum Jubilee Celebration. The Chapel was well attended with great fellowship and conversation after the service. Refreshments and delicious cake were much enjoyed by all. Thank you to the Wibtoft team for providing refreshments and for all the hard work to get the Chapel ready to open after the replastering. Thank you to Mark for all his help and for bringing his team of handbell ringers which added to the joy of the occasion.

We look forward to using the building as a hub for the local community and for a regular monthly celtic evening service at 7pm on the 4th Sunday of the month. Hope to see you all again at the end of June!
