St Peter's Leire, Tower Tours

It will soon be possible to have a guided tour of the tower, clock and bells at St Peters.

The tower dates from 1250 - 1300 and the tour takes you on a journey through time with 3 timepieces including the existing clock.

The tour will also include the bells and a view into the spire but roof access is not available.

To book a tour please send an email to Richard and Diane at the following email address drahcir.renrag@gmail.com

They will contact you to give some available times and dates.

The tour will show methods

of determining time since

the 1400’s to present day

including a detailed view of

the clock room pendulum

clock seen above.

The bells and the bell chamber are

included in the tour seen above.

The drawing above shows the church

as it was in 1792 with the tower we

see today.

The photo above shows the church

newly rebuilt in 1868 but with the

existing tower but no clock.
