Friends Of St Peters

The Friends of St Peters was set up in 1996, after merging previous schemes, with the purpose of ensuring an available money source for the preservation of the church fabric. Over the years this fund has enabled a range of essential repairs with much of the income derived from donations and regular giving. The scheme has now taken on a further ‘new look’ under the guidance of the appointed PCC subcommittee with the opportunity for members of the community to have a stake in the continued preservation of our 800 year old inheritance. There is such a wealth of local history and tradition encompassed in St Peter’s with influences from the medieval age and from Saxon and Norman times. With substantial enlargement in the 15th century and then changes in the Victorian era.

St Peter’s is a prominent landmark for those who see it regularly and for those passing through our villages. An annual fee of just £10.00 will bring members regular information on events whilst assisting greatly with the objects of The Friends. Application forms are available in church, from church members or from Carol Lee on 220295
