Arranging a Funerals In The Benefice

Funerals

If you would like a church funeral please contact the rector and then liase with the funeral director.  We will do all that we can to make the service fitting for your loved one as we commend them into God's nearer keeping.

Here is a link to the Church of England funerals website that may give you some ideas.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who mourn at this time. You might like to light a candle to remember someone who has died, you can do this here:

As you light the candle take a moment to think of the person you knew.

Reflect on the memories you have of this person and say thank you to God for their unique life.

Now remember their family and friends, and all those who miss them. Ask God to comfort them and surround them with his love.

A copy of the Upper Soar Benefice Churchyard and Memorial Regulations can be found here.  This outlines what is possible regarding Headstones for graves and Memorial Plaques for cremated remains in one of our churchyards.

Here is a summary leaflet to be used in conjunction with the main Memorial Regulations.

Please note Claybrooke Parva Churchyard is closed (since the late 1800's) and all burials take place in Claybrooke Parva Cemetery which is managed by the burial board, a sub committee of Claybrooke Parva Parish Council.
