Government Science

The U.S. government has known there are biological effects from electromagnetic radiation for decades. In the U.S. and elsewhere, evidence of harm was suppressed and non-protective standards were set, falling back on the excuse that more research needs to be done before those standards will be updated.

In science, when there is evidence of harm, protocol states that we stop, conduct research until it can be proven safe, then resume public use. This is called the Precautionary Principle. Some countries invoked the Precautionary Principle decades ago to protect their citizens from non-ionizing, non-thermal microwave radiation when evidence came to light that we don't need to heat tissue to cause damage. Our U.S. standards are set at this high thermal level, but damage is being done at microwave radiation levels far, far lower than the standards.  This is not regulated by our government and the public is therefore not protected.

Unfortunately, our engineers, scientists, doctors and physicists are taught in school that microwave radiation harm can only happen if there is tissue heating (called the thermal effect).  The following body of evidence was not considered when our FCC standards were set back in 1996, and it is therefore difficult for our current professionals to understand that the wireless technology products they are producing are biologically harmful.
