Athletic Director’s Report – Mrs. Karyn Holmes
We are all up and running with Fall sports. The calendar this year dictated that all sports started the same week because we “lost” a week with the way the calendar fell this year. So a lot happening at the same time……..
Karyn highlighted each team:
• Soccer is currently playing at Swinehart against Dakota. JV soccer started off strong. They were 8-0 going into their game against Dakota, but they came up short.
• Varsity Football is 2-0 to start off their season. They have Henry Ford II at home this Friday
• Varsity Volleyball won the Birch Run Tournament this past weekend. They play at Fraser on Tuesday and at home this Thursday.
• Varsity Swim opens at home this week
• Cross Country is doing well
• Tennis is doing well

• 50/50 raffle needs more volunteers. Let Tara Powrozek know if you would like help. The band will be selling 50/50 at the home game this week to raise funds for the band (9/13/19). Candace sold at our first game and we gave away $174. She will continue to help sell.

• There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at halftime at this week’s game (9/13). The Superintendent and board members will be in attendance to dedicate the new field.

Typically, alumni and/or their parents come back to help. Please reach out to family and friends to volunteer. Historically, concessions are very busy at the homecoming game.

• Cheer will be doing a fundraiser tailgate. Please see a cheerleader/cheer coach for more information. Everybody is welcome to participate for a small donation(fee).
