University of the Third Age, Helderberg

U3A Helderberg, Western Cape, South Africa

"The University of the Third Age (U3A) movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides life enhancing and life-changing      opportunities. Retired and semi-retired people come together to share knowledge, not for qualifications but for the simple  pleasure of         discovery."

From History to Hiking, Economics to Exploring, Art to Aerobics, Lunch clubs to Explore groups, members share their skills and life            experiences whilst forming new  and lasting friendships.

Launched in 2003, Helderberg U3A, situated between the sea, mountains and vineyards, now has around 2000  members.

As well as weekly courses and activities,  General Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Strand Town Hall at       10am.    These popular meetings feature talks by interesting and knowledgeable speakers.

No General meetings are held in December or January

Refreshments (for a small fee) are available from 09h30. Meanwhile, members and guests can chat and peruse the various updated notices, items of club news and featured displays.
