Climate Change

The Climate Change Group meets on the 4th Thursday of month at 10.00 at the home of one of the memebrs in Roundhay, Somerset West. 

What the course aims to do;

Climate Change is often in the news and has tended to be surrounded by controversy. There is often scientific debate about its reality and / or about the degree to which we will be affected.

This course is an introduction to the historic, scientific, social and political dimensions of climate change, an urgent and controversial issue. It is for anyone interested in learning about and discussing climate change issues. The course will broadly follow material and notes as developed by U3A Australia , but we will add new material and adapt to meet group needs.

The course covers 10 broad units and we will be covering 2 per month.

The course provides an introduction to climate change and is designed to accommodate

absolute beginners as well as those that have had some prior interest or experience

in science and climate change.

Course Fee: R 25 Plus small monthly contribution for hall usage
