What will we be doing? After getting to know each other we’ll fire up our imaginations and begin creating poems using words and phrases found in newspapers, magazines and old books. We’ll be using a variety of materials to colour and illustrate our work and parents are invited to return at 2pm for a mini-exhibition of our creations.

Welcome to the website for Tiger's Eye Writers. Our workshops aim to create a relaxed and supportive space in which children feel encouraged to write without the pressure of having to reach prescribed targets. They are open to anyone aged between 6-17, both budding writers and those who have never written before. Each session begins with games and warm-up exercises to stimulate the imagination, followed by focused activities inviting participants to have a go at creating a poem or story. We finish with the opportunity for the children to read their work to the group and receive sensitive and constructive feedback. I also offer one-to-one sessions: do get in touch to discuss times and availability.
