Dear Editors:
I am fascinated with recent postings on Phayul.com
regarding TYC. With respect to the aspirations for a unified Tibet
comprising of all ethnic Tibetans in all of the three cholkhasum, I am
convinced that this is not a new idea since exile. It was a strong
argument presented by Lonchen Shatra who led the Tibetan delegation as
the Plenipotentiary to the 1913 Simla Convention. Below is an excerpt of his argument for demarcations of geopolitical
borders of a free Tibet.
The British were deeply impressed with the
abundance of supporting documents which consisted of over 50 containers
the Tibetan delegation transported for the Convention. I look forward to
more just and educated views on the present status of Tibet without
causing further divisions.
