Discipleship

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. - Act 2.42

Homegroups

As a church, our mission is to proclaim, by word and action, the Good News of Jesus Christ, to our communities. To help us do this better, and to give knowledge and confidence, we have a growing network of homegroups, where people can gather, share stories about their own life and faith journey, pray and help each other understand how God speaks to us through the bible. We hope in time that every member of our congregation will be part of a homegroup.

Current homegroups and contact:

Calstock        Li Selman
Gunnislake    Lorna Baker

Groups are planned for St Dominick and Pillaton in autumn 2017.
Prayer

Our PCCs have identified prayer as one aspect of our church life which needs building up. As a parish we are committed to helping our members begin and deepen their prayer and have made the following steps:

  • 7Link Xtra article (see August 2017 edition, page 7)
  • preaching/talks
  • links on website to prayer resources
  • introduce a leaflet on prayer, including
  • prayer calendar (see foot of page)
  • Homegroup material (eg 'Real Prayer'(£3.25)
