Diabetes Group

Diabetes can seem to be an overwhelming disease because it impacts so many areas of your daily life. It’s important to have support from family, friends and from other people with diabetes. Don’t underestimate the importance of peer support.

We are holding this support group for both type 1 and type 2 sufferers. We wish to help support and mentor fellow sufferers and encourage the group to support each other.

Groups typically meet once a month, but we shall often also take part in many other activities such as fundraising, campaigning and raising awareness.

We have the support of Diabetes UK organisation and our local NHS diabetes medical team who are available giving great information and advice on managing you diabetes.
