Human

About the Play

Caught in the heart of a planet-damaging feud, Kellen grapples with his identity in the Fae world while Ramona, a newly diagnosed type 1 diabetic, longs for independence. When Kellen breaks forbidden boundaries the lives around him are forever changed. Stunning magic, Shakespearian characters, and passion overflow in this new, genre bending fantasy.

Our Hope

We are excited about our new play.  We believe this script sheds light on the complicated nature of being “Human”, the challenges of self-discovery, and affect we have on the world.  Human is a fantasy, but it’s also a deeply felt drama.  In it we explore magic, fancy and passion, and we’re not afraid to be a little odd.  We embrace the uniqueness of this piece of theatre, in which characters from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream intermingle with characters of the present, and extraordinary problems of the fairy world are explored alongside modern struggles, such as independence for a newly diagnosed type 1 diabetic teenager, friendship and trust.
