A dance of combatants and perspectives. Everyone wants to hear their song tonight, so do I, so do you, dance with me tonight Everyone hides behind a mask tonight but your eyes, in disguise, to the dance invite Dance with me tonight, underneath the moonlight Dance with me tonight, just dance with me tonight Whispering secrets in the flare of the hearth Crimson red, burning bright, what a lovely sight! Sweet smoke of incense, voices chanting the rite Drums and fire, winds and lyre, in the heat and light
Dance with me tonight, by the ruby firelight Dance with me tonight, just dance with me tonight
No one wants to hear their footsteps tonight Hear them march to your door in the dark of night We have one chance, we must take it tonight Run with me, through the fire, from the holy might Dance with me tonight, in the brilliant starlight Dance with me tonight, just dance with me tonight Dance with me tonight, underneath the moonlight Dance with me tonight, just dance with me tonight Everyone dreams of their future tonight, so do you, so do I – will our love survive? No one wants to be alone tonight, nor do you, nor do I…© 2013 Theatrum Mundi

COMMENTARY
The song originally ended after the guitar solo, Michael still felt something was needed, and asked Li'Anne to write something else. To his surprise, what she added was a hauntingly beautiful piano-and-flute epilogue topped off by a mournful yet hopeful reprise of the melody. Flutes, after all, are literally metal.
