            19 May 2017, Friday

Technology innovation is undoubtedly one of the major growth factors for the global economy and Hong Kong is best known for its ability in harnessing the latest and most advanced technologies across the spectrum and transforming the city to one of the world’s most modernized and sophisticated metropolitan cities.

The identification and adaptation of these technologies are the results of the wisdom, vision, knowledge, ingenuities and hard work of the engineering community that make Hong Kong what she is today.

The creation of these technological innovations, ranging from mega infrastructures that showcased as marvels of engineering to operational excellence of management systems that is transparent to those who benefited should be celebrated and the experience gained be shared with members of the engineering community.

The objective of this Symposium is to provide a platform for policy makers from both government and the legislature; industry leaders, technology providers, academia and senior members of the engineering profession to share their respective perspectives and efforts made in the development and application of the latest in Data Analytics, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things and Virtual Reality that contributes to their engineering and operation excellence.
