Lucia Gorea Ph.D.-Originally from Transylvania, she is the founder and creator of Poetry Around the World, a multicultural literary group. An award-winning poet and a widely published writer, Lucia is the author of several books, including “Journey  Through My Soul,” a collection of love and mystical poems, “Speak English for Success” and “ESL Games and Classroom Activities,” a best-selling title in the USA, among others. Lucia has made many television appearances on Rompost TV, Channel M in Vancouver, B.C. She is now translating Ispirescu’s “Legends and Fairy Tales” into English. The first tale in the series, “The Enchanted Turtle” was published with Parallel 45 Publishing and launched at Bookfest on June 12, 2010. Coming up in the fall of 2010 is “Yukon, the Polar Bear,” a children’s story that brings awareness about global warming and climate change. Lucia is now writing her first novel, a psychological thriller on Vlad the Impaler, known as Dracula. She is currently teaching two courses at UBC.
