Based in the cornfields of Sullivan, Illinois, Sullivan Area Arts (SAArts) was founded with a belief that economic revitalization wasn't necessarily tied to luring "modern" industry to the region, but in making known the hidden heritage and craftspeople that are so vitally a part of East Central Illinois.  SAArts is a multidimentional organization that has sparked initatives and creative collaborations in education, small town revitalization, community development, economic development, and enhanced opportunities for makers of handmade objects and those involved in the arts.

SAArts envisions an environment that is friendly and supportive of all the arts and seeks to become a premier arts destination in central Illinois.
Our mission is to benefit the arts in the community through education, coordination, support and promotion of the arts. Sullivan Area Arts seeks to develop a community that is comprehensive and supportive of all visual, literary, and performing arts in the region. We recognize the diversity of all cultures that contribute to the arts, and seek to become a premier multi-cultural and multi-generational arts destination.
