Description:

For teacher appreciation week NHS is assigned a day to do something nice for the faculty members. We will be planning to do something to express our thanks and appreciation, such as give treats to the faculty or make cards, according to the theme that Student Government gives us. Also, during the announcements each morning of teacher appreciation week, we read something inspirational or a message of thanks to the teachers. During the holidays, the members of the Teacher Appreciation Committee also do nice things for teachers such as baking holiday treats. We also help out with the teacher "Secret Santa".

Fall Feast:

The Fall Feast is a community event that Student Government holds annually for veterans at Stonington High School. On this night, all veterans from the community are invited and honored for their service. NHS contributes to NHS by designing and creating a table where the veterans will be sitting. The members of this committee are responsible for designing the table with NHS-style decor.
