2018 - 2019
Jessie Ibrahim - President President and co-founder Jessie is a young mother who wanted
to create a quality, inclusive youth theater experience for her three gorgeous
children and all other kids in her community. With more than 100 shows and a
few awards under her belt, she got together with a couple of friends, and South
Valley Youth Theater was born. She’s led SVYT through the first year with
success after success, growing the volunteer, audition, and audience base
exponentially. A Jill-of-all-theater-trades, Jessie is currently working on her
Bachelors of Elementary Education & Special Ed at Western Governors and hopes
to continue directing. She’s also been working with special needs youth for
seven years, and is an IBI paraprofessional for the State of Idaho.
- Vice President
 Cassie Lorensen - Co-founder
Cassie came on board when co-founder Jessie asked if she would play the piano for auditions. Then she helped sew costumes. Then she got really hooked and hasn’t stopped playing for us since! Cassie has a beautiful and talented cast of her own at home, and loves exposing the kids to such a creative and fun atmosphere. In her spare time, she teaches piano, which she’s been playing since she was 7 years old.
