03/2013 to present Post-Doc at the Faculty of Human Movement Sciences, VU University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Project: The walking brain; How our brain stabilizes our unstable locomotion.

Past positions

09/2011 to 02/2013 Post-doc at the Faculty of Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences, KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium. Project: coupling between head, arm and leg movements during locomotion.

09/2010 to 09/2011 FWO visiting Post-doc at the Faculty of Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences, KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium. Project: Age related compensatory neural processes during coordination of upper limb movements: modulation of the brain by life-long neuroplasticity. In this project, I extended the work on upper extremity movements to lower extremity movements, in particular walking.

06/2010 to 09/2010 Post-Doc at the Faculty of Human Movement Sciences, VU University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

01/2007 to 06/2010 Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Human Movement Sciences, VU University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Jaap van Dieën, Prof. Dr. Peter Beek and Dr. Onno Meijer. Project: functional recovery an gait stability after total hip replacement. Over the years, the focus of the project shifted towards measuring gait stability in general.
