We are pleased to announce that Slater Library is open without appointment.

Computers are available to patrons on the main level and in the children's area.

All patrons are required to wear a mask while in the library.

Curbside pickup will also continue to be available.

All you need is an ID with your Griswold or Lisbon address.

TODDLER STORYTIME with Mrs. Brown For ages 2-4

OCTOBER 13TH - NOVEMBER 17TH, Wednesdays @ 10:30 AM

Registration begins 9/27 and is open to residents of Griswold and Lisbon only, until October 4th. Others may then sign up as space allows. Class size is limited to 10 children at this time. In accordance with our Covid-19 policies, masks will be required for ages 2 and up.

Yarn and Darn!

Third Fridays 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Our group is starting up again! We are meeting on the third Friday of the month from 11:30 - 12:30 in our cozy Children's Room. Bring any hand work that you are working on: knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing - you name it!

Cook along with Chef Rob for a delicious variety of upcoming meals! Recipes are available at Slater Library and programs will take place on Facebook Live and will also be available to watch at a later time if you prefer.

Historical Fiction Book Club

New at Slater Library!

First Meeting: October 28, 2021

Time: 5:30-6:30

Book: The Exiles by Christina Baker Kline

Call (860) 376-0024 to sign-up. Books will be available a few weeks before the meeting. Staff will contact participants when books are available to pick up. Book discussion questions will be provided this first meeting to start the conversation. The group will guide how the meetings grow and will discuss and choose future book club reads.

The Bobcat: Connecticut's Secretive Wild Cat

Wednesday, November 3rd @ 6:30 pm

Doors open at 6:15 pm'

Seating is limited, sign up is required

Paul Colburn presents this beautiful creature focusing on the natural history of bobcats in Connecticut with an overview of bobcat habitat and behaviors. Prepare to see artifacts and beautiful pictures. This program will run about 80 minutes and is for an Adult/Teen audience.
