Labor Day Regatta is on!
Registration is 11:30 - 12:00. Skippers meeting at 12:00pm. First race will start by 1:00. The potluck BBQ / awards presentation will be at 4 pm. Burgers and hot dogs will be provided, along with cold beverages. You supply the rest!
The forecast indicates that winds will be light, so I will set a short windward / leeward course so we can get in several races. Here's Enfield's forecast from the NWS:
A 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Areas of dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Light air can be challenging, and we may need to wait for the wind to appear after the skippers meeting. But I'm hoping that the possibility of the sweet taste of victory will cause you to act against your better judgement and join in the racing. If you do opt out of the regatta, we'd still love to see you at the BBQ / Potluck at 4pm.
