MSC Community Involvement

The Sailing Club aspires to be a community resource that provides a way for interested Enfield residents to explore the sport of sailing.

• Join us for our Thursday evening sailing events during the summer. In 2018 we had thirty two individuals attend one or more times.

• Hosting "Women Can Sail" events for Enfield and area residents, which was very popular.

• Summer Youth Sailing Programs are available to Enfield students by registering through Mascoma Valley Recreation.

• Participation in the Enfield Old Home Days parade and hosting the Old Home Days Community Sailing event.

Support for the Lakeside Park:

• Donations by Club members to the Park's fundraising campaign

• Contributing $2,000 a year toward the Park's maintenance when it becomes Town property

• Participation in the Enfield Green-up events

• Helping to fund the Lakeside Park porta-potty, in partnership with the Town and the Rail Trail

• Contributed $3,000 toward the construction of the paved non-motorized boat launch

• Enfield Winter Wing Ding cosponsor along with the Enfield Village Association, providing site preparation, food, and beverages

• Donated to the Eagle Scout project to build the Lakeside Park kiosk

• Club members volunteer to monitor the Lake for Eurasian milfoil, from the Lakeside Park to the mouth of the Mascoma River, and have participated in other efforts of the Mascoma Lake Association to identify milfoil for removal.
