Troop Merit Badges

Boy Scout merit badges give scouts the opportunity to investigate around 120 different areas of knowledge and skills. The merit badge program plays a major role in the scouting advancement program and participation can begin as soon as a scout registers with a troop. Each scout can explore topics from American Business to Woodworking as he has interest. The only limitations are his ambition and availability of adult merit badge counselors to offer instruction.

Listed below are the merit badges that our troop currently has counselors for, there is an up-to-date list in the troop library at the lodge along with merit badge books. It is the scouts responsibility to contact the merit badge counselor if the scout has the desire to complete any given merit badge. If a merit badge is not listed, then we do not currently have a counselor. Speak to the Scout Master and we might be able to find someone to be a counselor for it.

Each of these merit badges links to a requirements page. At the bottom of the page is a link to the worksheet, which is VERY helpful for the scout to print and use to record their progress. To see all of the merit badges available use this link >>> All Scouting Merit Badges
