Prism Youth Community Helps Create Educational Displays

We will have a record number of schools and libraries displaying our information this year.   A full list of those organizations will be communicated in the future.
As in years' passed, we are coordinating educational displays to be placed in local libraries and schools.  These displays always provide information about LGBT history, although typically have a more specific theme each year.  This year, we are very happy and proud to have the assistance of the Prism Youth Community in Bloomington.  They volunteered to research and develop all of our displays.  That's the first time that our volunteers didn't have to personally create each display.  We appreciate the youth of the Prism group helping Spencer Pride with this important educational tool for our surrounding communities.

Here are a few images of the teens working on this year's library displays.

Welcome!

Welcome to the new event page for the 2014 LGBT History Month activities.  Spencer Pride, Inc. coordinates two important activities for LGBT History Month each year: our "A Night at the Tivoli" event and the publication & distribution of educational displays for area libraries & schools.  This is the page to find out more details about those events.

To start off, the 2014 LGBT History Month activities are being coordinated by Spencer Pride Inc. director & secretary Judi Epp.  Judi is spearheading this effort with the entire organization and working to solicit funds to support these activities.  Last year's "A Night at the Tivoli" event proved to be the most successful fundraiser in Spencer Pride Inc. history and we have high hopes to once again set the mark for this year's event.

Stay tuned for updates!  And if you like what we are doing, say so on Facebook!  Tag #SpencerPride and #ANightattheTivoli.  Thanks!
