RECODE

Research in Economic Development (RECODE) Meetings 2013

University of Ottawa

October 5-6, 2013

The 2013 RECODE Meetings will be organized by the Economics Department and the School of International Development and Global Studies of the University of Ottawa.

Its first edition will take place in Ottawa in October 5-6, 2013. Professor James Robinson from Harvard University will be the keynote speaker and Professor Miguel Urquiola from Columbia University will present a plenary session.

The organizing committee invites the submission of papers on all topics of relevance to Development Economics until July 15, 2013 through the conference website (not by e-mail). The conference program will be posted in early August. We plan to accept 30 papers and hold two parallel sessions at a time.

Note that speakers will have to bear their own expenses for registration fees, travel and accommodation.

This conference was funded in part by a grant from the United States Embassy in Ottawa. We also received financial support from the University of Ottawa, its Faculty of Social Sciences and its School of International Development and Global Studies, as well as from the Canadian Development Economics Study Group and the Canada Research Chair in Environmental Economics (Prof. Anthony Heyes). We gratefully acknowledge their support.
