This is the temporary site for the Raquette River Blueway Corridor group. We are advocates of the Raquette River region in New York State and seek to protect, promote, and enhance important resources and to create increased economic, recreational, and tourism opportunties for residents and visitors along this river. The Raquette River Corridor extends 174 miles from the source of the river at Blue Mountain Lake to its final destination at the Akwesasne/St.Regis Mohawk Reservation on the St. LawrenceRiver. The Raquette River is the second longest river in New York State, behind the Hudson, flowing through varied scenic and historic areas before it empties into the St. Lawrence River. The Raquette flows north, passing through many natural and man‐made lakes, draining approximately 1000 square miles of total watershed area. |
